Hi Everyone
It’s been a long time between posts, it’s just that life can be so hectic….you would think that once you were semi-retired that life would start to slow down a bit, but it appears that the contrary is the case. I’ll keep it short and sweet and get into more detail in my next post.
Lots has been happening, but the short version is that we have relocated to Queensland to be closer to family and to chase a bit of the warmer weather.
In my last post I was telling you about some share strategies that I was learning about…….I’m still learning, but have had a bit of a dabble and at present am coming out about even which is GREAT.(If you would like to know more just email me at info@educationtosuccess.com and I will tell you about it!!)
I seriously believe that it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you are at, there is always something to learn and as I have said before ….What is Our Greatest Investment?………ourselves.
Christmas is coming up and we will be away for about 6 weeks so if I don’t get another chance to post beforehand, have a great festive season and be safe. As a free early Christmas present I would like to give you my TOTALLY FREE e-book on BUDGETING. If you have any questions just email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
All the best
Janis

Hi Everyone
Just checking my blog and realised how slack I have been, just never seems to be enough hours in the day.
Well, my husband and I have just come back from a fantastic 3 week cruise on the “Sun Princess” to Vietnam and back, leaving from Fremantle. Having never been on a cruise before it was one of the greatest holidays that I have had relaxation wise……no phone or internet connection….mind you I was at a bit of a loss for a couple of days, but it didn’t take long to get into doing nothing…… We played table tennis, ate, went to the gym, ate and generally lolled about in the sun, trying to read the books that I had taken with me, and last, but not least ATE…. I can’t believe how much food there was!!!!
Originally this trip was to have been with a dear friend of mine who died before she had the chance to go….I made sure I had a few cocktails for her!!! Makes you think that you need to live like each day is your last…as it may well be. This isn’t a practice for the real thing.
Anyway enough rambling for today, next time I will tell you about a great new share strategy that I am learning.
Keep smiling and do whatever makes you happy!!

Hope you had a great Easter. We spent ours with family, what could be better????
Just a carry on from last week about “sitting on a goldmine”. The short version is that most people are taught, (myself included) that you have to get a house and then you spend the rest of your life paying it off. Up until last year I believed that was the only way to go. Most people believe that you have to get a house and pay it off, (I can still remember my grandfather saying, “bricks and mortar, the only way to go”) In a way this is true…….but not entirely. Do you think that the rich get a house and pay it off…………..I don’t think so!!! They believe that you own nothing and control everything. It takes a while for it to sink in, but it is true!!!!
Every generation says “I can’t afford a house!” but people still buy them. Has real estate EVER gone down in price? NO!! So what does that tell you??
Up until last year we owned a house and had a rental property to negative gear. Now we have 4 house and are looking for another. This doesn’t mean that we have won lotto, only that we got smarter.
If you want to know more about how we did this, get this FREE DVD, ( FREE Postage too, within Oz and NZ). This DVD explains in easy language how it works.
Anyway get the DVD and let me know what you think. Start changing your thinking and let your money work for you, not the other way around.
If you have any queries just email me on info@educationtosuccess.com It doesn’t matter how dumb you think your questions are, if you don’t ask, you will never know!!!
Have a great weekend and be safe,
Janis

Hi Everyone
Just a short note to wish you all the best for a safe and happy easter. Easter is a great time to get together with family and friends and that is just what I am doing.
Sorry I have been a bit slack in the blog writing but I have been in Queensland checking out a loft appartment that we bought over the internet. I have never bought anything over the net before without having seen it and it is an interesting experience. The appartment is great, in Southport, not far from the beach and has swimming pool and tennis courts…..what more could you ask for!!???
We are planning on shifting over there in October for a couple of years to see how we like life on the east coast after having spent most of out life on the west coast.
Perhaps you are thinking ….how did she do that??? Wish I could……… It is not that hard. Most people don’t realise that they are sitting on a gold mine. How much did you pay for the house that you are living in now?? What is it worth in todays market? Why not use some of that equity and get yourself another house. More debt you are thinking…………..yes and no. It is all in the mindset and changing the way that you look at money. I’ll tell you more about this next time.
Have a great break and be safe
Regards
Janis

Happy Valentine’s Day
I was just thinking the other day about brokers and how can you tell the good from the bad? I think the only REAL way is to see how they perform. If they can make you money then they are great, if not, they are in the wrong job. I have a list of questions that you can ask a broker when you are out broker shopping which will give you a better idea what they are about and help you to chose the best one for you.
How do you charge for your services?
Will I receive a regular newsletter or information on any new sharemarket opportunities?
What sort of information can I obtain on your internet site? Are there costs involved?
Do you conduct client seminars?
Are you or your firm associated with any of the companies whose investment products are recommended by you?
What research facilities does the firm make use of?
How might you review my investment plan and how regularly would you do that? (full service brokers only)
Do I have to set up an account with you before I can trade?
INTERNATIONAL MARKETS
Which markets and which financial products on those markets can I access?
What other parties are involved in providing the service?
How do I pay?
Do I need to set up a cash account?
How and when can I place orders?
Where are my financial products held and how are they registered?
Is there a minimum transaction amount?
What is the brokerage?
Are there any custody fees or other fees and charges?
What research do you provide?
Do you provide access to any other investments (including unlisted managed funds)?
I hope that this is of some help to you.
Till next time.

Hi Everyone
This last couple of weeks have been very sad for me. I have lost a very dear friend. It really makes you start thinking about your own mortality and how you can be here one day and gone the next.
I think that it also makes you think about the things in your own life and what is really important.
I am finding that the older I get the less I need things……..they just clutter up your life and detract from the things that are really important such as family and doing the things that really make YOU happy. What would you do if you were told that you only had a week, a day left? I think of all the things I am going to do…..one day!! What if there isn’t a one day??
Making money for me is not about what I have, but about what I can do. It gives me choices. I can help my family, others less fortunate than myself. It gives me freedom.
We only have one life, we need to live it.

They help you find real estate and they have already done all of the homework so all that u have to do is decide which house you would like to buy. They help you with finance and are with you every step of the way. If you would like some more info just email me at info@educationtosuccess.com

Hi Friend
I don’t know about you, but I am sure that time is moving faster………maybe it is an age thing!!! All the major shops have all the Christmas stuff out already……scary!!
As you have probably already looked at the DVD or read Jamie MacIntyre’s “What I Didn’t Learn at School But Wish I Had” you will understand that wealth building is not just about “getting the money”, it’s also about mindset and using multiple strategies such as real estate, shares and the internet to create passive income and the lifestyle you want. It’s also about choices and the freedom to be able to do what YOU want.
If you have decided that shares is the way to go I have found that it is easier to follow a system rather than trying to teach yourself and making the mistakes….why reinvent the wheel!!?
If you haven’t already had a look at Planet Wealth do so. This is the renting shares strategy that is mentioned on the DVD. Planet Wealth was founded by three 21st Century Academy graduates, (you can see Andrew Dimitri in Success Stories).
The Planet Wealth E-Book is $99 US and it includes a spreadulator and videos on how set up paper trading etc. A great buy.
Another free DVD is the E-Minis which is another strategy based on the US Indexes. Have a look at it.
The great thing about both of these strategies is that you don’t have to learn lots of complicated charts or spend all day in front of a computer.
Till next time.
Yours in Health, Wealth and Happiness,
